The village of LLanbedr lies close to the River Artro on the Cambrian Coast of North Wales where the ancient stone bridge, dates from 1642 identifing the site as an important landing place for prehistoric traders from Ireland and the starting point for an ancient track which leads over the mountains towards England.
Llanbedr extends eastwards up the Artro and the Nantcol Rivers culminating in the remote and rugged Rhinogydd Mountains – excellent hill walking country.
Llanbedr boasts a post office, shops and two pubs and several tourist attractions, from Shell Island to the west and Nantcol Waterfalls to the East. There is an extensive network of footpaths running alongside the rivers or up the surrounding mountains where walkers will be rewarded with amazing views.
